Head Messenger, on duty practically fron 7 a..

3 p.a.Principal duties-To look after the

postaen and messengers;

to see that the shifts of duties are in attendance at the proper

times; to see that the mail carts and coolies are in readiness

when required.

Office boy, on duty from 7 a... to 3 p.a. Principal

duties To be in attendance at the Postmaster General's Office;

open mail bags, look after empty nail bags, and return those

belonging to other offices.

Marine Stampers. Generally only one is in Hongkong.

He assists in the office from 10 a.. to 5 p.a. and is also in at-

-tendance wned contract nails arrive or depart.

Postrea No. 1 & 2, deal with all letters received

for

delivery to Chinese. They go out three times daily. No.1 assitsi

in the office from 7 to 10 a.. and No. 2 from 10 a.1.

to 5 p.a.

except when they have letters to deliver.
